Tears for Fears embarked on their first U.S. tour in more than 5 years coinciding with the release of a brand new album called ‘The Tipping Point.’ Co-founders Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith brought their synth pop endearments to Houston and a welcoming crowd. Their artistry was in fine form especially the strength of their well worn harmonies. Surprisingly they placed Everybody Wants to Rule the World early in the set which shows their confidence in newer material and the set in general. Of course the crowd ate it up and sang along.
Many of the songs in the set came from their new album including highlights such as; Rivers of Mercy, My Demons and End of Night. These were mixed in along deep cuts including Bad Man’s Song. Orzabal and Smith were backed by an excellent band and background vocals. The played a three song encore finishing with their most famous Shout.

Watching those two on stage was an unreal and magical experience! It was a once in lifetime experience for me. I can’t believe I got to do it with my brother and father.
